Smarter time frames

Add a dropdown option for frames that would take care of situations where there is an “busy” event colliding with the frame.

List:

  • do nothing

  • delete whole frame

  • adjust frame

Usecase:

Frames are not only for AI planning but also for me to have them in my calendar so my wife knows that I am “at the office” / “warehouse” etc.

When there is another event (like doctors appointment) colliding with this, I need to go and manually delete or adjust the frame.

This should be done automatically.

Thanks for consideration

I am curious why you use a frame for this.

Our intention for frames was to show your ‘ideal’ calendar and then get suggestions according to that.

Share events with others we assumed would be for events.

Is there a reason you prefer frames for this?

Frames deliberately don’t create conflicts otherwise, the scheduled tasks it schedules would create conflicts.

Do you know a better way how to do this?

I work for multiple orgs., so in example:

      Mon - org1

      Tue - org2

      Wed - org1

      Thu - org3

      …

I need frames to have my “ideal” week planned.

Previously I had events “Org1” etc in my calendar both for my wife to know AND for booking links integration (so people are not booking me while I work for orgs.).

I need to use frames because after I get to work, I want to AI schedule my work from tasks.

Currently I could use the event the Frame creates. It is planned, has busy/free etc. This works.

However whenever I got a colliding event with this, I need to manually adjust the frame.

So lets say I got a doctor appointment over a half of the frame.

Tasks are not AI scheduled to the doctor time, thats great.

However the frames “event” is still there, seemingly colliding with another event.

      I hope it makes sense

        I see.

This is an edge case we haven’t come across before.

Unfortunately, I can’t think of a simple solution as we weren’t expecting people to use a frame as an event and an ideal plan for our planner.

        Sorry for the inconvenience.
