Instead of defaulting to the traditional view where the week starts on Monday or Sunday, allow users the option to display the current day as the first day in the Week view.

You can do this:
Preferences > General > First day of the week

May 8
I think that’s not what is meant. Cron had this feature that at the very left of the week view is the current date. Now you see even past dates, what’s the point in that? Most calendars are doing it like this, but you actually want to have the current date at start. Just add “todays date” to the selector in general under first day of the week.
